In actuality, my mid-2009 13″ MacBook Pro “bends’. The chassis warps, ever so slightly, such that if I set it on a flat surface, the rubber feet don’t always all touch, and it will rock slightly. Looking across the palmrest, you can see a slight curvature. I think it is heat related and it periodically affects the trackpad (it won’t register clicks); I have to push hard on the thin aluminum divider between the top of the trackpad and the space bar to get it working again. When I began to have trouble with the trackpad, I searched for the adjustment procedure and discovered that this was a problem affecting a lot of other users as well.
My MacBook Pro has been been babied and is carried in a Tucano neoprene sleeve in a Kensington Triple Trek messenger bag (so there is no power brick or anything pushing against it).
@ScooterComputer sounds like your battery is expanding bro. I’m a certified apple tech and see that fairly often in repairs. Take it in and get it checked out if you can.
