T-Mobile offers its customers free season-long streaming access to MLB.com

T-Mobile customers who download the official Major League Baseball app At Bat 13 before June 30th will get free streaming access to the MLB.TV Game of the Day, as well as live & away radio broadcasts and highlights from home & away games around the league …

The deal is part of a multi-year partnership between T-Mobile and Major League Baseball.

The deadline applies only to downloading the app: once you have it, you retain your access for the entire season – a deal worth $19.99. The full terms and conditions are below – the most notable one of which is that you have to redeem the app while connected to the T-Mobile mobile data network, as that’s how they verify eligibility.

Offer only available May 1 – June 30.
Offer is available to new and existing customers.
Must be on the T-Mobile network to initially download the app to meet validation requirements.
Offer is available for download from Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Compatible devices include:
Android phones and tablets (OS 2.2 or later).
iPhones and iPads 3GS/4/4S/5, (iOS 5.0 or later).
MLB.com At Bat is released every year for the new baseball season. This offer provides full access to the 2013 MLB season only.

MLB.com noted last month that the majority of their paid sign-ups came from iOS users.

Update: T-Mobile advises that the app must be used on the T-Mobile data network, and that data charges may thus be incurred.
