Microsoft continues iPad-mocking ads with comparison with Dell XPS 10

Microsoft is running another of its seemingly disingenuous 30-second ads comparing Windows 8 tablets with the iPad, this time highlighting Windows 8 zoomable homescreen, multi-tasking (iOS 7?) and the iPad’s lack of SD card slot (adapters! in the rare case you need one).

The timing of the ad, which went online yesterday, is especially ironic … 

Microsoft had previously run an ad pointing out that the iPad doesn’t run Powerpoint. This fact is, of course, down to Microsoft rather than Apple. So when Microsoft today finally launched Office 365 for iOS, it was forced to deliberately limit it to the iPhone to avoid blowing its own comparison out of the water …
