This month is National Bullying Prevention Month and creators of an anti-bullying Kindle e-book and an iOS app are hoping to raise $100,000 through their sales during October and donate the revenue to several anti-bullying charities. The charities include Bullying UK, Stomp out Bullying, the Pacer Center and the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network.

Bullies: Playground Push-Around is the story about a girl named Maya who has to deal with cruel kids who are bullying her based on her appearance. It has won a Mom’s Choice award. The book has been available through Amazon for over a month, and in it’s second month being available has received an Editor’s Best Book of the Month for Children pick. It is an interactive book filled with bright, vivid colors. It contains settings for reading along with the book, or for it to be fully narrated. It also uses Dyslexie font, which is designed to increase readability for readers with dyslexia. Studies do show that using Dyslexie improves reading skills for some dyslexic readers.

There is always an underlying reason why the student is bullying someone. This is very serious and damaging abuse. Healthy, happy teenagers might be able to brush that off but for someone who is already a bit down or lonely it can have serious consequences. This Movement against Bullying needs to gain more momentum and that only happens with sharing knowledge and experience and truly empowering children to stand up for their safety online and everywhere keep safety on your family and kids bring protection with them check this out at http://safekidzone.com/#!/page_home.
