Apple unveils its first Gold iPhone 5s TV video ad, ‘Metal Mastered’

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYsSiaBZmRk]

Apple revealed its first magazine ads for the iPhone 5s this past week and they were gold, featuring the gold iPhone 5s. During today’s football games, Apple released its first TV ad with the same affinity for the ‘Midas model’.

The video above (via Verge) shows a similar video shown at the launch event with a quick demo of TouchID.

What conclusion can we draw from this?

Gold is best.

Update: Apple has added the ad to its website

If that background music sounds familiar, it is Goldfrapp’s Oooh La La which is quite popular in smartphone advertising.  Motorola used it in 2006 for their hit KRZR product. But Motorola stole it from an LG Chocolate ad.

conclusion is that if you really think having a gold color phone is important.. you are in serious need of mental help.. you are basically a W A C K O

Look at that video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DK5KmE7XH-8 it was published long ago!

It is a video from the keynote…right before they unveiled the iPhone 5S, actually this is how they didi it. So, it’s not a new ad, they just added the song and aired it on tv, but the video was already seen by everyone.

That video clip was shown during the announcement of the 5S, it just hadn’t been used as an actual TV ad until now.

  4. The rolling of the eyes, LoL. Neistat is a kook!

‘Plastic Perfected’ with the 5c and now ‘Metal Mastered’ with the 5s. Very clever.

Yes, very clear IVE ego. But what the iphone can do for you is important, not its form.

@albrip Here comes the post-Jobsian over analysis.

    Of course it’s a Goldfrapp song. ^_^

It seems a fashion ad. In Jobs era ads where a way to show WHAT the device could do for you. Times are changed for real. But for the worse.

  8. Conclusion: Subject to availability ;)

Where’s that background image though? It’s not in the stock ones shipped with iOS7.

I think it’s ridiculous to put a commercial out there when you can’t supply the customer with the product. I mistakenly ordered the gold btcause I thought it looked good. that was 21 days ago and Sprint has still not received any ship dates from Apple. My loyalty to Apple is wafting, And my excitement for the phone has simmered into disgust.
