iPhone 5s & 5c begin rolling out in 25 additional countries, Apple Online stores go down

Apple previously announced that its second wave of iPhone 5s and 5c launch countries would include more than 25 locations on Friday, October 25. For South Korea, New Zealand, Taiwan, Thailand, Macua, and others, that means we’re just hours away from online orders going live and already seeing lines starting to form (pictured below). It also means the Apple Store is currently down in many of the 25 launch countries as Apple prepares to start accepting online orders on the morning of October 25th local time.

Apple will start selling both devices as we roll into the morning of Oct. 25th in the following 25 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, French West Indies, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion Island, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and Thailand.

Apple’s initial roll out of the iPhone 5s and 5c last month included the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK. The company also previously announced that it would begin selling the new iPhones in a third wave of countries by Nov.1. Those countries include:

Albania, Armenia, Bahrain, Colombia, El Salvador, Guam, Guatemala, India, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and UAE.

After launching initially on September 20, Apple announced that first weekend sales for the two devices broke its previous record from the iPhone 5 launch with a total of 9 million units sold for both devices combined.
