Google+ for iOS updated with full-resolution photo backups, design tweaks, and more

Google has updated its Google+ app for iOS with a few new tweaks. Version 4.6 of the social networking application introduces full-quality photo backups for iOS 7 users, a few design tweaks in the notifications screen, and the ability to share your location with friends (similar to Apple’s own Find My Friends app which was recently updated).

What’s New in Version 4.6.0

– Full resolution backup of your photos and videos (iOS7 only)
– Updated design for the notification tray
– Share your location, see where your friends are, control who is displayed on the map
– Translate posts and comments inline
– Additional bug fixes and performance improvements

Google+ is available for free on the iOS App Store.

I hate Google+. I never turned it on but whenever I login to gmail it comes back. It’s the first truly sucktard thing Google has done that bothered me. I don’t want to +1 nothing nowhere and I don’t care how many people do.

I see no reason why anyone would conclude that G+ “sucks”. It’s essentially a combination of twitter and Facebook, but with no ads and some nice apps on mobile platforms. If you’re interested in social media type things, then G+ is the best on offer.

I’m confused on why you took the time to post if you hate G+ so much? Personally I don’t see why everyone has so much hate for it and I have yet to see anyone make a valid point on why they hate it so much.

how much space do they give you for photo backups?

Why would I want to give Google thumbnails of my images, much less the real thing?

Maybe because they’re giving you lots of free storage space? Everything is private on G+ unless you make it not private, so I don’t see the issue.

        >>Everything is private on G+

Sanctified mother of crap, this is the single most incorrect statement on the Internet in the last 24 hours.
