We have no Black Friday in South Africa. Instead, we have to pay up to 55% more than US buyers, as Apple is distributed by Core Group and not by Apple directly. We surely do need to have real Apple stores set up in South Africa. Also, Apple being a premium brand, is represented by “sales consultants” seemingly fresh from school and who have little or no real ICT knowledge. What is worse, is how they dress. Male staffers wear hipster jeans and, when they bend over, expose their rearward cleavages. This happens in upmarket stores in prime business locations such as http://www.waterfront.co.za

Does Apple care for its corporate clients at all? Why are we being ripped off and also being disrespected by wet-behind-the-ears “sales consultants” who really need to get educated? In a country where some 20 million people are unemployed, one would think that the lucky ones who do get jobs will try to keep theirs?

Perhaps someone reading this knows someone in Cupertino that can alert the Apple CEO and his management team?
