PAC-MAN goes freemium for this week’s App Store promotion

As noted on our sister-site 9to5Toys, the paid version of PAC-MAN has gone free on the iTunes App Store for the first time. The price decrease is in honor of Apple’s weekly App of the Week promotion. Last week’s app was Scanner Pro by Readdle. In its Apple Store app, Apple is promoting a fitness application for free.

Update: Readers note that the game has actually gone freemium, meaning you’ll still need to buy a couple in-app purchases to unlock the real, full game.

the download is free but everything in it still costs.

This should read “PAC-MAN goes freemium”. If you want the full game, you still have to cough up for in app purchases.
