Sonico Mobile releases iTranslate Voice 2 with iOS 7 redesign and more

iTranslateVoice

Sonico Mobile, of iTranslate fame, released today version 2 of iTranslate Voice, bringing an entirely new design and a few new features as well. Let’s take a look at what’s new.

The first thing you’ll notice in iTranslate Voice 2 is the completely new design. Sonico Mobile has always done a great job making their apps fit very well with the design aesthetic of iOS, and today’s update is no departure. iTranslate Voice closely adopts the look of Apple’s Messages app, creating a natural, conversation-like feel. There’s also lots of great design details you’ll notice while using the app, like live voice recognition waveforms, and a clever pull-to-clear animation. Clearly, there was a lot of time put into this app.

Perhaps just as substantial as the new design is that iTranslate Voice is now a universal binary for both iPhone and iPad, a much better experience for iOS users with multiple devices.

Sonico has also worked on improving voice accuracy and translation speed, adding support for iOS 7 offline voices in iTranslate Voice 2. This allows for faster voice processing and translation results.

AirTranslate, a Bluetooth-enabled feature added to the app back in July, has taken advantage of improvements to peer-to-peer technology in iOS 7 and is now faster and more reliable than before.

Overall, iTranslate Voice 2 is a fantastic new release to an already great app. You can grab it for $0.99 in the App Store. Here’s a full screenshot gallery.

Would be cool if iTranslate could be integrated into iWatch.
