Here’s another 4.7-inch iPhone 6 mockup compared to an iPod touch (and 3D print plans to make your own)

A new set of photos published by Italian site Macitynet, compare Apple’s fifth generation iPod touch to the widely rumored iPhone 6 design. The photos clearly show the design similarities between these devices, but keep in mind, this “iPhone 6” is just a mockup. Don’t mind the screen on this dummy, it’s just a sticker. By now, we’ve seen just about every mockup and comparison possible (even a gold version), making these kind of photos a little less exciting each time.

In a nutshell, these pictures show the obvious: Apple’s rumored 4.7-inch iPhone 6 is larger than the fifth generation iPod touch. The dummy unit also has the same curved edge design as the iPod touch, but other than that, there’s not a lot to talk about. As shown in previous photos, this iPhone 6 dummy features ugly antenna breaks, has oblong volume buttons that are similar to the iPod touch, and has a repositioned power button that would be easier to reach on a device of this size.

Most of the mockups we’ve seen were crafted from rumored specifications to help manufacturers design cases ahead of Apple’s launch, but if it means anything, this one seems to be of higher quality than the others. I must admit though, it’s interesting to see the two compared. It would be nice if Apple went with a similar design, but we won’t know for sure until it’s unveiled later this year.

Want your own iPhone 6 dummy? Well, thanks to designer Martin Hajek, if you have access to a 3D printer you can make one. Hajek recently published a 3D printer ready model based on the same rumored specifications. The model can be purchased for $25 and printed at your own convenience. Don’t have a 3d printer? Don’t worry, there’s also a version included that will work with Shapeways’ online 3D printing service. This may not be the real deal, but it’s about as close as you’ll get for now.

Wow. Now the internet is complete. With shit.

  2. Why does this dummy model have more emails than I’ve ever received?

For a dummy model that doesn’t look bad , however Apple should re-align the antenna breaks

Finally a mockup that does not look very ugly!! Looks even like what the iPhone 6 could actually be!

  5. It’s really no bigger. I’ll be waiting for the 5.5″.

      If it wasn’t already obvious that you’re a troll…

How was that a troll comment? What is wrong with you?

        >>How

Since you seem to be braindead this morning, I’ll let you in on a little secret:

Something that is larger than something else… IS LARGER THAN SOMETHING ELSE. Shocking, I know. Seems like only a complete imbecile with no spatial recognition would say otherwise. So, then, in seeing a comment that explicitly regards thing 2 the same size as thing 1 when reality says thing 2 is larger, there are two conclusions.

        1. The commenter is between the age of 0 and 18 months and cannot process a distinction in visual (much less measured) size.
        2. It’s a troll comment.

Feel free to prove me otherwise, I guess. But if you could, you would have already done so in the comment to which I’m replying now. Since you so revel in being opposite anything I say, regardless of what that means for you.

Pretty sure he meant that in his mind it’s effectively the same size, not that 4 actually equaled 4.6. Do you need a hug or something man :-)

No, sorry, try again. You cannot possibly believe that or come to this conclusion based on what he said.

Well if the real black iphone looks as good as this mock up, it will be a rather handsome handset. I am still not quite sold on the antenna breaks on the back, but here in this embodiment it doesn’t look half bad.

A real question here is why all these mockups do not show True Tone flash?
It is senseless Apple won’t put it in future iPhones.

I’m guessing they’ll do the job using a single multi-tone led. Hence no need for dual leds anymore.
