App Store, iTunes Store, Apple TV features currently facing server problems, inaccessible for some users (Update: Apple says resolved)

Update: Apple says the service issues should be resolved now although some issues are still being spotted.

Apple’s cloud media services are currently facing various server issues that are resulting in content being unavailable for many users. We’ve received many reports from readers via email and on Twitter about certain App Store, iTunes Store, and Apple TV features becoming inaccessible this morning. As can be seen in the image above, users are currently unable to access the Movies and TV Shows panes on the Apple TV. A reboot does not currently fix the issue…

Users are also unable to download some major applications. Facebook Messenger is currently not showing as available on the App Store, and launches for significant app updates (like the new Skype 5.0) appear to be completely botched because of iTunes issues.

For some users the Apple content stores are completely inoperable:

We are also aware of some new applications not propagating correctly this morning. Some App Store developers are also reporting that their applications are missing from the App Store charts:

Various Twitter searches also show accounts of the various problems:

Meanwhile, Apple’s own iCloud and Services status page is proving unhelpful as well, showing that everything is working properly:

We’ve reached out to Apple for some clarity on the matter.

And this is why I’ve dumped Apple. I dont think a week has gone by where one of their cloud services wasnt down. Enough is enough.

Funny. I’ve dumped Microsoft for the same reason and found peace of mind with Apple.

Movies and TV Shows gone from the Apple TV

  4. I discovered the problem when trying to update to Skype 5.0 on my iPhone, and it has been like that all day.
Then I deleted the Skype app, and did a fresh install. After I did that all of my iTunes connections came back.

Possibly linked to upcoming changes to Apple’s cloud services? Hope so.

I bought a handful of movies — including several bundles — last night via my AppleTV, could this be why they’re not showing up in my iTunes Library today?

I’m curious about the picture shown of the Apple TV interface. It’s impossible for my Apple TV to display the buttons like that and they aren’t the same buttons. Is this a mock-up of a new version of the software or what?

Edit: Realised my mistake too late. Those are the missing service, duh.

On another note, when is 9to5 going to give us the option to edit or delete comments? Silly system.

Disney movies is not connecting and for some reason my movies I have purchased and not gotten a refund for are missing as well.

I can’t access movies through the Purchased tab but can start them by finding the movie somewhere else (ie Top Movies) and playing them

Yo Everybody, i have read on internet that due to this server ussue many users were able to downgrade to 7.0.4 or older. I don’t have access to laptop at the moment, i have seen confirmed words by people, so please u should try. And reply to this comment if it works. Method is : first restore fresh to 7.1.1 then restore to 7.0.4 in itunes by running tinyumbrella for downgrade .. Try !

Microsoft Azure is rumored to power iCloud and who knows what else. I wonder why not Oracle considering how close buddies Ellison and Jobs were.
