Gallery: Beats’ exotic 105,000 sq ft office in California

Early last year, Beats announced it would be renovating an abandoned warehouse in Southern California to become its newest office. Located in Culver City, just minutes from Los Angeles, the area purchased measures in at a whopping 105,000 square feet and reportedly sold for upwards of $20 million.

It also includes two massive employee parking lots.

Beats says that the recent acquisition of the company by Apple won’t change how the office is used and distort the original the plans Beats had for it.

You can check out the full array of photos of the new office space on Business Insider.

But what do they do all day in this space? I don’t see a single piece of equipment for playing/recording/analyzing audio. How can they be designing head phones?

The photo doesn’t show the entire 105,000 Sq. Ft. So, maybe the equipment is in an area not shown in the photo.

    • I was assuming this was Beats Music.

Judging by the sound quality of the headphones, I wouldnt be surprised if they didn’t have any audio equipment.

That was exactly what I was hoping you’d say. It looks like the office of a marketing firm, not an engineering firm. Chances are that they are out-sourcing the engineering/design of the electronics, and if they are associated with Apple in any way, they’re definitely out-sourcing manufacturing.

Writing on walls? That’s simply stupid. Look at the woman sitting on the comfortable floor…oh wait.

  3. Is everyone there around 22 years old? At 31, I feel as if I am getting too old to work at one of these places.

    • I took the long cut & didn’t get my BFA ID until I was 27. I’m 34 now. I didn’t realize until a couple years ago I was too old to get one of these sweet jobs before I started the program. I know the feel.

Worse yet, you’re salary demands are probably too high having all that experience at your age.

Nobody is going to comment on the improper use of feet?
