Apple releases fourth beta of iTunes 12 to developers and AppleSeed users on Yosemite

Apple has pushed out the fourth pre-release version of iTunes 12 to users running the developer preview or public beta of OS X Yosemite. The update weighs in at 214 MB, but the seed notes don’t list anything new in this build. There do appear to be some new icons in the preferences screen, but for the most part it’s the same as the other betas we’ve seen.

Hopefully, it’s all iTunes Match bug fixes.

there are all the system languages. this is also new

  3. Looks like a bunch of the sidebar icons are new (Playlists, Audiobooks, Tones, etc.), including the Plus icon (New Playlist) and Gear icon (Various Options) at the very bottom. Also, the graphic and the function of the miniplayer’s expand/collapse button is different.

Still nowhere near as good as Spotify. iTunes has been less and less usable with every release and in the current era of streaming is almost completely irrelevant. iTunes Radio is just another radio offering… Spotify is best on the market by far. When iTunes offers what Spotify offers – both in terms of usability and streaming music on demand – I’ll be back.

Has Spotify had a major revamp in the past few months with both new software and a new cost model? Because the last time I used it, well, it was awful. I mean not only was it unstable on my pc, but the cost of using it was nothing but stupid. At $10 a month to rent some songs for a month – there are a ton of better services out there at a better price and quality.

iTunes isnt the prettiest as it has been loaded up with too many features. But it is reliable and the price is unbeatable.

  7. What’s the build number? When I try to update it says I have the latest version.

I would be very happy if you could do a full sync, including playlists created on the iPhone or iPad. Currently, if you create a playlist on the iPad, it will NOT sync back to your mac or PC. If you create it on the Mac or PC then yes, it will sync to your iPad.

This means that “sync” is only “Half-sync” until they add this capability.
