Chinese media reports 4 million iPhone 6 reservations, even split between iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

Yesterday, Chinese iPhone 6 reservations were stated as 2 million in six hours, a rather stunning statistic. Today, an update from the Chinese media press Tencent now says that reservations have topped 4 million. If all these reservations convert into orders, China alone may beat out the iPhone 6’s launch numbers, which — at the time — were considered to be impressive.

What’s more interesting is that Tencent claims it has exact order numbers from one of the main companies offering reservations. This gives some insight into how sales will be split between the 4.7 inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5 inch iPhone 6 Plus.

According to the report, Jingdong has seen 1,106,379 reservations for the iPhone 6 and 1,189,083  for the iPhone 6 Plus. As many expected, the 6 Plus has a slight edge in the appeal for Chinese custom but it is close. Obviously, we will have to wait for actual sales to follow through on October 17th before making firm conclusions.

Earlier today, Digitimes said iPhone 6 Plus was responsible for 60% of iPhone 6 production. Outside of China, the 4.7 inch model is generally considered to be the more popular version, although it is unclear how much of this is down to consumer demand or simply a by-product of supply constraints.

Here it is Appleheads!! The proof is here. The Quality device that is the Nokia Lumia 830 does not bend like the inferior iPhone 6 plus. Apple build inferior products and charge you premium prices. Wake up!! http://wmpoweruser.com/does-the-thin-metal-framed-nokia-lumia-830-bend-video/

that thing is 10 mm thick. guess what else doesn’t bend. a brick.

Nokia? Is that brand still relevant? LOL. Please. People are not as stupid as you are. They go for the best device.

      • Dime09 (@dime09) - 9 years ago

The best device?? Hahaha!!…Huh?…Huh?…Hahaha! Antennagate, mapgate, now bendgate. Don’t let me tell you how atrocious your iCloud is. When will you deluded morons get the message?

You came all the way here just to say that? Wow, we are flattered that you took the time to troll all the way over and write on a blog about Apple selling phone in China. What was it that prompted you again? Envy?

I see we have yet another person who is losing sleep because FAR TOO MANY people are buying Apple’s iPhones. Consumer Reports pretty much put this to rest already. We don’t need any more ‘bend’ tests.

Your challenge it seems, is to get people to buy YOUR phone of choice. Good luck following Apple.

You just need to accept the fact that people want the iPhone. Pretty much end of story. Your harping on about other phones not bending won’t help you much.

Does anyone even buy Windows Phones? I mean, besides Bill Gates family members because they’re forced to. Microsoft had to ban Microsoft employees from using iPhones because they were so much better than Windows Phones. Buying a Windows Phone just because it doesn’t bend is like buying a Mack truck instead of a Porsche because the Mack truck is built like a tank. Everyone knows Microsoft is losing money from Nokia’s poor smartphone sales. Nokia smartphones are the smartphone’s no one wants because they’re not Android or iOS smartphones.

Do you honestly think he is him that needs to seek help soon? Here you are, in a mac forum, talking trash about macs and saying to apple customers they are idiost. I imagine you routinely go in political convention to tell people that they are dumb because they vote their party right? :) And at footbal fan meetings to tell everyone you meet that football sucks right? :) In front of actual people right? And that you are judeged sane by these people right? :) And that you are so sane and clever that you don’t enage in childish online trollish behavior because you don’t have anything better to do, right? :)

Maybe learn to fucking speak english before you spend your time trolling like a drooling moron? Would be a better use of your time, I believe. Your grammar is non-existent.

” Apple build” should be “Apple builds”
“and charge” should be “and charges”
“You confused!” should be “You’re confused”
“Seek help. Soon.”.. Oh, the irony here.

The sad thing is how you’re forced to link to a “wmpower.com”, because nothing more credible proving your assertion even exists. The sadder thing is that the biggest ammunition you have against the iPhone is 3 completely manufactured fiascos, that weren’t even fiascos at all. Maps has always worked perfectly for me. So did the iPhone 4 antenna, for 99.99% of the population. And now, bending? Give me a fucking break. Speaks to the quality of Apple products if that’s all you get. Answer me this, why is the iPhone 6 (and all previous iPhones at their time) universally recommended by pretty much all technology blogs as the best smartphone one can buy? And the 5S, even a month ago, when it was almost a year old?

Whats pathetic is how someone has to little life, he needs to obsessively read a site like 9to5mac, while hating Apple and all its products, and feel compelled to register and post about that hatred, mocking everyone in the process. What a sad, angry, hateful life you must live.

I’m more concerned about Apple’s App store outages etc. What is going on? They need to pull it together. They clearly don’t have enough capacity to handle the load.

  6. Dafty Punk - 9 years ago

Well with the extra time the delay gave them I hope Apple has been making and stockpiling as many as possible for the Chinese market.

    • Laughing_Boy48 - 9 years ago

Forget it. Demand is so high for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, Apple won’t catch up until April of next year. Unlike Nokia which has about 2 million smartphones sitting on shelves collecting dust.

Hardy har har. Shiver me timbers.
    Apple is doomed… to success!
Apple is doomed… to make so much money it can’t spend it fast enough!
Apple is doomed… to be the most valuable company ever!
    Apple is doomed… doomed… doomed… doomed… doomed!
Hardy har har. Shiver me timbers.
    Apple is unbelievably doomed!

These are pre-sales to retailers and carriers…… not sell through to public! …..why hasn’t anyone got this figured out yet. Plus the are cutting back production right now. If this 20 Million (bogus) was pre-solds to consumers, you’d see Apple ramping up production not scaling back to match poor supply of some parts!
