Apple reportedly prepping first exclusive content in the form of fashion network ‘Made 2 Measure’

On the heels of recent rumors that Apple is preparing to augment its music video production work and create its own original content in-house, with the first such content now rumored to be an exclusive fashion network. The New York Times briefly mentions that Apple now has an exclusive content agreement with WME/IMG to produce and distribute original TV content:

A few weeks after the ready-to-wear shows end in October, WME/IMG will debut its first-ever network in an exclusive deal with Apple TV — the first such Apple exclusive. Entitled Made 2 Measure (M2M), the all-fashion channel will stream on demand, featuring an original M2M documentary series on designers, industry issues and trends, as well as classic fashion films and documentaries and new looks at the shows that took place at the WME/IMG venues.

Fashion may have seemed like an odd choice for Apple to focus on a few years ago, but following the hiring of Angela Ahrendts as SVP of Retail, fashion show-related iPhone marketing stunts, and the launch of the fashion-focused Apple Watch, it doesn’t seem like much of a stretch.

The “M2M” network will be part of Apple’s new original content push that starts later today with the launch of the fourth-generation Apple TV. You can follow along with all of 9to5Mac’s coverage today on our news hub.
