Spigen’s newest iPhone 6s + 6s Plus cases start at $9.99, wireless charging case only $29.99

Spigen’s first round of affordable new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus cases were ready to order even before Apple’s September 9 special event. Now that the iPhones are about to hit stores, Spigen has a new collection of slim protective cases ready, and you’re going to love them.

The lineup starts with a minimalist sub-$10 case that can magnetically attach to your car’s dashboard. Next, for under $15, you can get a shock-absorbing clear case that shows your new iPhone’s “S” badge or rose gold color. Or if you want to add wireless charging and a drop-proof case to your iPhone for under $30, you can. Below, you’ll see how Spigen has covered all of those bases, and more…

Tough Armor Volt

The coolest new Spigen case packs a great new feature: affordable, slim-line wireless charging. Tough Armor Volt sells for only $29.99, preserving the look, feel, and remarkably slender profile of Spigen’s Tough Armor while adding Qi charging capabilities. Volt uses an ingenious trick: a flip-open power connector that looks like a Lightning port cover, letting you easily switch between wireless charging (with a Qi base like Spigen’s F300W, shown above) or full access to the Lightning port for cables and accessories. This is the most practical Qi charging case we’ve seen for any iPhone, at the best price.

Thin Fit & Magnetic Air Vent Mount

If you prefer minimalist protection, Spigen’s $9.99 Thin Fit provides basic protection at a very low price. Thin Fit is a plastic shell sold in a variety of colors and patterns, each with holes for side control access and a raised front bezel to keep the screen from touching other surfaces. Newly added to Thin Fit is a slim recess in the back, designed to hold a metal plate supplied with Spigen’s $6.49 Magnetic Air Vent Mount (sold separately). A powerful magnet inside the mount attaches to your iPhone with zero effort, eliminating the need for a bulky case or a big dashboard clamp. You can effortlessly rotate the iPhone on your choice of angles, and detach it with a simple pull.

Ultra Hybrid Tech

The best way to show off a new iPhone 6s or 6s Plus is to choose a clear case so its rear “S” badge or new rose gold color is easy to see. If clarity is your goal, Spigen’s $14.99 Ultra Hybrid Tech is the right case for you. Using Synergy Technology, it lines a soft transparent plastic bumper with a black shock-absorbing Thermoplastic Elastomer, using clear hard plastic for the back. Ultra Hybrid Tech delivers a great mix of protection and looks that are especially well-suited to space gray iPhones. Best of all, it’s 1/3 the price of similar cases from other companies, with guaranteed Spigen quality.

Style Armor

Another new case is the $13.99 Style Armor, a two-tone slider design made with a soft touch-finished plastic outside and a soft microfiber interior lining. Each of the three Style Armor cases comes with a champagne gold bottom cap, and you can choose from a “rose gold,” Tiffany-like “mint,” or red “Italian rose” top that covers most of the iPhone’s body. The top has integrated button protectors, plus bezels to protect the screen and rear camera. Style Armor’s slim body accommodates the slightly-larger iPhone 6s without adding bulk to your pocket.

Slim Armor

Last but not least is the new $15.99 Slim Armor, an update to one of the best early iPhone 6 cases. We love Slim Armor’s soft top and bottom curves, which are typically black, accenting a colorful hard plastic central frame with a slim integrated kickstand. Spigen has streamlined Slim Armor with sleeker button protectors, improved ergonomics, and a new front speaker port that amplifies your iPhone’s sound. Gold, rose gold, violet, blue, and gunmetal versions are available. For only $18, the iPhone 6s Plus version is a very smart choice for larger iPhones, adding protection while preserving their comfort in your hand.

Those are actually not bad… nothing comes close to Apple’s leather cases but I am impressed with those cheaper alternatives.

It would have been better if the back was full covered for the wireless charging covers. It just looks odd just to show a logo, not even Apple’s own cases do that.

I ordered one. I wonder if the wireless adapter piece can be used with other cases, like Apple’s? It looks like it just plugs into the lightning port and charges via that, regardless of what case is on it.

My buddy is gonna flip when he sees the wireless charging case. He’s been saying how he really wants wireless charging on his iPhone and I think this would be a great solution for him.

I am not seeing this mythological “S” badge anywhere. Pretty sure that’s not a thing. Apple logo, yeah.

I take that back. I now see it on a reviewer’s phone. Just not on the phones in these pictures. I’ve never had an “S” model so I didn’t know that was featured on the back.

Shoot, wish I had known about the wireless charging option before I got my case, then I could still use my Tylt.

  6. I ordered the Style Armour case, and it does not fit the 6s. There is a small gap between the two pieces of the case that I can’t manage to fix. On the hunt for another case, now…
