Singapore iPhone 3GS launch - 3000 people in line?
The iPhone 3GS went on sale in Singapore over the weekend. While lines in the US weren't quite as impressive as previous years, it certainly appears that the number of iPhone fans is growing in Asia's busiest port. Estimates put the number of people at 2-3,000 and probably higher. Check the video below shot by customer #10.

Singaporeans will queue up for the opening of a new shopping complex. There is not much to do in Singa... they live for this kind of hype stuff...
Totally.
Are there even that many iPhones availible?
Wow, ... I think they could have cut about 80% of that video... we got the idea by about 20 secs in!
At least though with the mobile operators in Singapore, we have a pretty fast network to plug into, once we've queued for 75 days to pick up the iPhone.
The prices aren't mentioned though.... Cheapest plan details (for 32GB Version):
- US$ 460 to pay
- US$ 27 fee per month
- 500 MB of data only included
- Fast 7.2Mbps Network
Work that out over TWO YEARS, ... then smile knowing you got a MUCH BETTER DEAL in the UK, or US.
In the US it is 30$US a month just for the data, plus 30 minimum for the phone. It costs 300$ for the 32GB, but costs more monthly
in Singapore.... there are only 3 things we normally do...
1... eat
2... queue
3.. movies....
its cause porn is illegal there
impressive!
I am one of the queuing ppl..i got mine at 4.16 am...queued the whole night.....
I still know people who are waiting for their Iphones here in the states. Apple should have seen this coming. casino online
