Do you (those who are complaining) go back to the car dealer the year after you buy a new car and expect them to give you the next years model because they've made improvements? If not, you should, because you obviously think that they ripped you off by selling you something that isn't as nice as a future product! (let us know what they say, I could use a laugh). What about your computer? have they gotten cheaper? ...put them on the list of companies to complain too.

I am planning on buying a Touch, but not until the price drops. I have another music/video player that works OK, and I don't feel the need to have to get the newest/best/priciest thing on the market.

anyway... companies lower costs on their products, how dare they!!
