Telstra + iPhone = 0

Quote "Will Telstra now re train all their help desk staff to actually mention the words Apple or MAC without choking?"
No, what we really want is for Australia's largest ISP to support both platforms, sure they can keep their windoze centric underpinnings, but Apple users, would like to see support for quicktime in their uncounted movie and sports video coverage.

Well I think your right there, Telstra is too blinkered and full of its own self importance and want to see Apple "Stick to their knitting"
Its a pity actually as Telstra has the best mobile network for the 3G based iPhone, although if they did get the iPhone I'd hate to think what the data plans would be.
I want my crustal ball to tell me when will Australia see a 3G iPhone, and it replied to me with August 2008, it just couldn't tell me who will be carrying it.

I am sure Apple is talking to all technically viable carriers in Australia, it will go to whoever bends over the most to accommodate iPhone, and that wont be Telstra.
