Gizmodo to reveal Microsoft tablet tomorrow?

Our sources have told us that the cat is out of the bag and Gizmodo will reveal the Microsoft tablet concept tomorrow.  We've seen some bits and we have to say that we are seriously impressed by the work done at Redmond.  Yes, you read that right - and as much as we hate to hear ourselves say it...

We are really impressed.

What's even more exciting about this device is that we keep hearing, over and over again, how Apple is also working on a device in this class - though with just a single 10-inch display.  We hear again and again how they are lining up publishers of content all over the world to get ready for this device.  It seems that this concept could dwarf the Kindle and take some of the phone and laptop market with it.

If Apple's device is on the same level of what Gizmodo reveals tomorrow (and we think it will be), there will be some exciting times ahead.

Dayum, either you guys are totally full of shit or you've totally destroyed Microsoft's surprise.

You've called every Apple rumor for the past 2+ years so I'm inclined to believe we'll see something exciting.

Why is this post in Courier Font?

The font is the continuation of an earlier clue.

Sounds like an MS pre-emptive strike is incoming.

Allard is out to try and steal some Apple thunder ... Duck!

It all looks good on paper. Vaporware is the most worn-out, dog-eared page in the book of Microsoft. Not impressed with your being impressed.

Just like Apple's tablet is a tablet that runs some version of OS X, this is a tablet that runs some version of Windows 7. Unless it does something my wife no longer does, what could possibly generate any excitement in either one of these two products, that we haven't seen before in some shape or size?

You want it to do the dishes?

No, he wants a blowjob!

You definitely MADE MY DAY. LOL ROFL.

guys, see, the original post was implying some lost sexual gratification. So the first reply, suggesting he was referring to doing dishes, was funny because it was ironic. The second reply, by someone who "got it" but thought he'd not and had come up with something original and funny instead, wasn't funny for that reason.

Humor loses SO much when it has to be explained to some people.

You presume too much.

So it's the next day and Gizmondo hasn't published any tablet news.

No news is good news!
See what i did there?

MS is not able to bring this out as a product - it's more a vision like the movie 2019 - REALITY IS different! look at Vista!
Sorry redmond guys - next time - If you wanna see a product which works - wait for the Apple Tablet - it feels great! - start the rip off machine!

First off, this is a really cool looking prototype. Second, I would hearken to what others raise; namely, when will the real product ship and what's the OS and tools side of the equation, as Apple has pretty much shown this to be the bar for success.

Clearly, Apple learned this lesson from Microsoft (in PC 1.0) but MS feels long removed from those days (i.e., cultivating and growing a software centered ecosystem), especially in light of all of the legacy that they have to support.

Btw, here are some thoughts on where e-Book is headed:

I don't know if this will be better than Apple's or not, since I haven't actually seen either. But from what I can see... IT LOOKS GREAT!

I really like the dual screens and the multi-touch/stylus input.
