Display production for next iPhone reportedly to kickoff next month, led by Sharp, LG, Japan Display

According to a report from Nikkan, production of displays for Apple’s next iPhone will begin in June. The new screens will be sourced from Sharp, LG, and Japan Display, the same trio that have supplied screens for the iPhone 5.

Sharp also begin in June the mass production of the next model for the liquid crystal panel of the (multi-function mobile phone) smartphone that Apple is planning on. Appears to have embarked on production readiness of consecutive holidays from May Kameyama Plant No. 1 of Apple smartphones LCD dedicated plagued by sluggish occupancy rate since the beginning of the year in (Kameyama, Mie Prefecture).

Today’s report reasserts previous claims that the next revision to the iPhone will carry a design akin to that of the iPhone 5. Like past iPhone updates that do not include external hardware revisions, it is likely that the new iPhone will feature an improved camera and task processing systems...

Report: New thinner iPhone will have longer 4 inch screen, metallic backside and small round dock connector

Earlier this year, leading up to the new iPad launch, iLounge editor Jeremy Horwitz claimed to have held the new device, and then he reported a few of the features that would ultimately launch with the third-gen iPad in March (and some that would not). Today, Horwitz claimed to have new details on the next-generation iPhone. He reported the device would sport a longer 4-inch screen, metallic backside, and smaller and rounded dock connector.

The majority of Horwitz’s specs mirror our report from March 2011 about the iPhone 5 prototypes spotted with metal backs, larger displays, and the overall iPhone 4 design.

The first of his claims: As rumored, the new iPhone will be “longer and thinner” than iPhone 4 and 4S, and it will sport the following changes to its physical design:

We have seen iPhone mockups from ADR Studio’s Antonio De Rosa in the past, such as the recent iPhone SJ. Going with the naming scheme introduced with the new iPad, Rosa just published mock-ups of his latest creation: “the new iPhone.” This makes it a little easier to imagine the extremely unlikely 4.6-inch iPhone with a Retina display rumored last night. You will notice the mockup also includes a LED indicator around the entire edge of the device; a home button integrated into the iOS UI, and an aluminum unibody design.  Not going to happen but interesting nonetheless.
