but spot focusing, by selection of a region on a touch screen is a feature that for example SONY cameras and camcorders had for a long time....
Nevertheless it's very usefull and a real autofocus is nice to have.

some sony ericsson phones already have touch focus i.e. G900 and C905

It's a BS feature that isn't needed.

Give us more RAM, a better camera (a buddy has a Samsung Omnia 5 mega pixels). It has built in GPS with Maps and turn by turn directions, Music, Video, 3G and Pandora that can run in the background.

It's barely thicker than the iPhone 3G. The user interface isn't as slick but I'll trade that for a useful "Smart Phone".

Apple better get off their ass and give some "Wow" factor because only FanBoyz will buy the upgrade this time with all the competition already in the market.

And for the last note Android CupCake blows the iPhone OS out of the water and makes it look like a dumb phone.

Apple. Start upgrading your own apps and don't rely on Google to do it for you.

Weather App. 2 years old
Stock App. 2 years old and gives no real time data or stats.

Email App. Get push right without Exchange. Don't rely on Microsoft to do your work.

Calendar. Synch with something other than Mobile Vista or Exchange. How about Outlook?

Notes. Did you throw this in as an afterthought and never thought about synching it with anything?

Clock. My watch can do everything the Clock can do.

Photos. Gee, a camera roll, that's innovative. Doesn't synch with anything or any social networking sight.

You do so well when pointing out features a new iPhone ought to include, but you're so narrow-minded when quickly dismissing features YOU have no personal use for. Secret: It's not all about you. Just one example: Geotagging photos. You may not have an extensive photo library, but millions of users do. The ability to geotag, and to link that tagging within iPhotos, is an extraordinary expansion of user power. Don't be too quick to throw out a lot of features just because there are others you (rightly) point out should be added.

My two cents.

I myself am excited about the digital compass and can see myself using that a lot in my job and the camera focus seems awesome, I have never seen that in any camera before.
