8GB iPhone 3GS coming shortly via Rogers?
BGR has the deets on what appears to be an 8GB iPhone3GS entering the Rogers inventory system. If this is real, it will most likely mean the end of the iPhone 3G as we know it as there isn't much room ($149?) in the middle of the current lineup for the sole non "S" 8GB model. As Tim Cook mentioned at the last earnings conference call, Apple is having trouble keeping up with demand on current iPhone3GS models around the world.

...why wouldn't they just EOL the 8GB 3G and move the 8GB 3GS into the $99 spot.
Why would ANY consumer buy an 8GB 3G when for $50 more they could get the 3GS?
I could be wrong, but just seems like Apple wanted to dump the rest of the 3G inventory first before bringing in the 3rd 3GS model (8GB).
I hope they make the 3G into the fabled iPhone Nano for $50. Piss off a lot of people though. Heck, they did worse in the past!
To get an iPhone from the Hong Kong Apple web store it costs HK$4,488 ($579.09). Reduce that to HK$2,500 and Apple will really find it difficult to meet demand.
