iPhone Notes syncing coming in 10.5.7

The latest version on iTunes 8.2 prerelease contains a Notes syncing pane. But you'll need 10.5.7 to use the functionality. So we are going to hazard a guess that 10.5.7 is going to have a Notes update...and is probably coming fairly soon. 

Update: It was working (buggily) for iTunes 8.1 + iPhone 3.0Beta 3 in 10.5.6 and broke in iTunes 8.2b + iPhone 3.0B4

Just a note, terrible pun sorry, but I have been able to do this with 10.5.6 with my 3.0 iPod Touch 1st Gen (through the developer portal download) could this mean that the 10.5.7 release will coincide with the 3.0 release for the iPhone?

I may just be the odd one out but I think that developers have already had this option with 10.5.6 and the 3.0 beat iPhone software. I have the 3.0 beta 3 and have had this ability in both Windows and Mac OS 10.5.6 since at least beta 2.

Looks like they broke it in 8.2Pro/3.0beta4 ...
It was working in 8.1.1/3.0beta3 with bugs ...

You have the iTunes beta but not the Mac OS X beta? How come?

One reason could be that iPhone Devs don't access to OSX pre-releases.

I have the itunes 8.2b7 installed on my 10.5.6 system too.

The option to sync notes although since I activated the new 3.0 beta firmware on my iphone has been disabled. But was working before I updated the firmware.

I have 3.0 SDK beta 4 on my MacBook and am trying to sync to back up my iPhone before upgrading from beta 2 to 4. Sync hung at contacts, I turned off contacts, then calendar, now sync is hanging at Notes - but the iTunes UI provides no checkbox to turn off syncing Notes, saying it requires 10.5.7!
