We just got passed along this screengrab. Looks like testing on the Push Notification service has begun. We'll let you know when we start seeing smiley faces.

Probably a sample set from the general developers' population. If there's a problem they wouldn't want to hear about it a thousand times over when a hundred would do.

 I got it last night, but I have yet to receive any notifications. There aren't really any setting in the app for notifications other than 'on' or 'off', so I'm not sure what type of notifications I should expect to receive. All new articles? Local articles? Breaking news? I guess I'll find out (or send an email to Apple).
