So, who's-who in iPhone distro deals so far?
There’s been a flurry of iPhone distribution announcements from a variety of mobile phone networks in recent weeks. We were beginning to lose track of which nations have been declared with some kind of iPhone presence, so we thought it may be of some use to provide a list of announcements made so far:

- Australia, Optus & Vodafone
- Austria, One & T-Mobile

Although the company had not sent a press note.
please get a clue. "these countries" as you refer to them, are prime markets. China would almost double the current subscriber base reach of Apple considering currently known distribution deals. Japan has massive buying power through a large middle class socio-demographic structure. Russia currently is one of the hottest markets for grey market iPhones, which shows that among the richer Russians it has good status. The nordic states a.k.a. scandinavian states have a large middle class population b/c of their social welfare state. You're site has great info, but your comments are just a bit too often ignorant in all things finance, economy and share price.
What are you banging on about? I know full well these are prime markets, which is exactly why I argue Apple won't wast too much time securing deals to enter them. WHat's wrong with that?
Just some junior high schooler that recently found out how to use Google & the school library wanting to show off.
There is nothing wring with that, if that is what you were trying to argue. Unfortunately your knowledge of English needs an update. Please read your own statement a few times, and maybe you will realize why everybody is annoyed:
"We can’t believe Apple will waste too much time entering these countries."
Question: do these following sentences me the same or the opposite?
the author's sentence:
"We can’t believe Apple will waste too much time entering these countries."
and my example sentence:
We can't believe Apple will waste time entering these countries.
Answer: Opposite.
The author's sentence means that he believes Apple will enter quickly, and my example means that (some group believes) Apple will not enter those countries.
Is it perhaps the use of 'to' and 'too' you find challenging? Too is the correct one, you see.
With it becoming so much closer to the overall release, I am still baffled that they have not reached a deal with Japan yet. If they have, the Japanese are sure keeping the "mums the word" outlook.
I have been waiting patiently and I guess I will have to wait more.
C'mon guys/girls. Where is the inside scoop for Japan???
Any budding designer out there with 10 min spare on there hands to mock up a world map showing the coverage???

i assume the comment is meant to be "We can’t believe Apple will waste too much time before entering these countries" or was annoyed poster number 2 right to be annoyed?
Spain has nothing oficial. If its about rumors, then every country would be on the list.
Just put where they are confirmed, such as Vodafone, Singtel, America Movil and Orange.
so it needs a UMTS phone before entering...
I think you left out South Korea. I read that both Korea and Japan are working together to set up carriers for the iPhone.
http://www.macnn.com/articles/08/05/19/ktf.docomo.iphone/
so who's conspicuously missing in Europe? The Netherlands (Holland) that's right. I thought we were frontrunners and early adopters, at least, so our prime minister tells us. Not in the case of the iPhone. hmpf!
A new rumor says, that the third carrier in switzerland (Sunrise) will also offer the iPhone. (http://www.20min.ch/digital/dossier/iphone/story/17847407)
Don't see a hole in Middle East? Especially the GCC and Saudi?
Why the **** is Finland still missing from the list?!?!?
The above map is partly wrong, Switzerland is not included there. The by far best map can be seen at: http://www.setteb.it/content/view/3975/2/
There are rumours that Telecom Italia could launch the iPhone in Brazil as well. They are one of the big carriers here....
Japan NTT Docomo
yep, I'm certain now: Sudan, Myanmar, Albania and Liberia will get the iPhone before Holland does.

In Romania, Orange? I thought that Vodafone is the one. At least, this is my opinion. It the best company so far and it would have really deserved being the one involved with iPhone business.
