Really couldn't care less.
And yet, you obviously cared enough about it to post your irrelevant reply, which adds absolutely nothing of value to the conversation.
Brilliant.
It's just a big marketing scheme game and I'm not playing.

If that were posted anywhere other than an Apple related site it would be hilarious. ;)
Got Safari, don't need Firefox :p
I think there should be an option about not downloading it. I have Safari and I'm very happy with it (plus Apple makes it).
No way I'm bothering today.
1. The servers will be hammered
2. It'll take a few days for the worst bugs to be known about and fixed.
3. No adblock support! - that's a showstopper.

I know it's not native build in. But it is great

Adblock plus is specifically tagged as *not* FF3 compatible. It won't even load.
Meh. Firefox is still too Windows-y. I'll wait for whatever gecko upgrades to reach Camino.
Marketing scheme or no, as a web designer, the more people they can get on to standards compliant browsers the better as far as I'm concerned. Death to IE!
Can't get to a webpage to download it...
i'm disappointed, yet not surprised, to find out that 16% of 9to5mac readers have their heads up their asses.
ps-- the servers are working perfectly at this writing. i hope the problem isn't with your browser?
I had trouble with the servers for the first two hours after I got the email. But then it got better and I've downloaded it onto 6 machines: three macs, two XP boxes and one Windows 2000 box.
Pleased with it on the secondary machines but i won't install on the mission- critical machine until the FireFTP extension is FF3 ready. And all the bugs are squished.
The mac version looks a bit more like a mac app than FF2, which is nice, but I keep hoping brushed metal will go back to 2005 where it belongs!
the server wasnt down and safari was an option above.
and its just article, why are peopl so hateful?
mozilla is trying to break a record for most downloaded app in a day or something.
I downloaded v3 and it SUCKS!!! Where can I find a download of v2? v3 is WAY too slow and doesn't load half of the pages that v2 does for some reason.
As far as I'm concerned, there is really no great browser for the Mac. Safari has too few features, Webkit isn't really all that faster than Safari, I used to use Firefox, but it ate up all my RAM, so now I'm actually using Opera, as much as I detest it. Eh, whatever, it works well enough for me.
They missed the ball on this one.
My version 2 did not pick up there is a new version available. Even when I manually click on the 'check for updates...' menu, there is no mention of the version 3... not too smart I think.
