Skype 1.1 for iPhone out
Skype 1.1 for iPhone was released (iTunes link) today. New features include:

- Voicemail support.
- Support for the following languages:
English, German, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese, Portuguese, Spanish, Norwegian, Russian, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Italian, French, Polish and Japanese.
- Improved dialing help when calling phones.
Skype has taken the iPhone platform by storm. Skype had passed the million mark within a few days of its launch on March 31st. Then on April 8th, it passed 2 million. In May it passed 4 million and is believed to be on at least one out of every 10 iPhones and iPod touches.
This is the first feature update since launch, though push notifications is what we were really hoping for.

YES, now I can pay for two phone plans and even get sms TWICE.
haha... you read my mind as if ATT is cheap enough to afford another voice plan!
It would be nice if Skype was available in Canada iTunes store.
Don't bet on it.
Rogers is surely extending it's monopoly, doing all the possible to keep the software unavailable for Canadians, so they can sell 30$/6 GB data plans on top of a minimal 35$ voice plan...
No competition, just swallow the pill. Not only you have no free alternative, but really soon you'll have to pay for incoming SMS and tethering (somewhere after december 31).
Well...

Nobody is yelling, nobody is doing something to stop them. They will continue to overcharge people, and Canadians stay shut as always.
I've heard by someone that Rogers is trying to make as much money as possible, because Videotron will be part of the competititon. They want to be able to smash them as soon as they launch. And BTW, Rogers and Fido are the same company; I noticed it when Rogers called me for a support ticket left at Fido... Make your own conclusions...
