In the final run-up to the official launch of the iPhone 6, we’ve been seeing a number of videos of what appear to be the real thing. With just one day to go, Miaopai has just posted no fewer than 17 short videos claiming to show the Chinese version of the iPhone 6 in use.
We don’t learn anything from them we didn’t already know, but they do give a sense of what the size of the 4.7-inch display is like to use in practice.

French site NWE has also re-posted video of what it says is the battery from the 5.5-inch iPhone 6, showing a capacity of 2915mAh. This is consistent with earlier reports. While it has almost twice the capacity of the 1560mAh battery used in the iPhone 5s, it’s unknown how much of that power will be needed to drive the extra size and resolution of the larger display.
We heard over the weekend that Apple’s long-rumored NFC-based mobile payment system will use tokenization to maximize security, transmitting coded one-time tokens to payment terminals, and that the 5.5-inch model may run landscape apps, giving a more iPad-like user experience.

On the first videos ios icons seem changed. App Store, iTunes and messages icons have shadows.
Very interesting. If this is true, Apple seems to be dialing back on the ‘flat’ a little, and that’s good.
Or it’s because the videos are of elaborate Chine knock-offs running a very accurate iOS “skin” over Android. ??? 27 hours and we’ll know. :)

In addition, I think it’s just all China ripoff (thing they do and we all know them for that). It’s just a ripoff that has taken it to the whole new level of ripoffs. When the real new iPhone comes, those guys will be like ‘hah and you couldn’t tell the difference before, we will sell you these ripoffs for half the price’.

I’m pretty sure that this is legit now. If not Apple will be making some Chinese hires very soon. We’ve got Siri, TouchID and plenty of other things to go at. Ignore the clock icon – the seconds hand on a Rolex overlaps the hours & minutes, so it’s not so daft. A chinese carrier likely let one out a little too early, either that or it’s been nicked!
Yeh there is absolutely no doubt in my mind. These are absolutely real. They run so smoothly. And there’s no sign of anything android in it. Even the keyboard works seamlessly with that new word choice thing they have implemented at the top.
This is a 4.7 inch iPhone 6. Anyone expecting anything different. You’re in for a bad day.

I wish they’d open the damn Passbook app so we can see if there’s anything to do with NFC in there!
They did open it and there is nothing there hahaha. No credit card icon at all. In fact it has less icons than mine does now. It’s simply fake.
The app shows much less for Chinese users.

If you can’t see that this is smoother than a current iPhone 5S, you must stop using Apple products right now. Go and buy a Galaxy or whatever.
The new Galaxy Note 4 has 3220, and the Edge variant only 3000, so 2915 from Apple is sounding great. And IF (the big IF) they are going to allow the Pad version of software to run in landscape on the iPhone 6L, then this will be the best phablet hands down.
Wow. Absolutely beautiful phone. Those antenna bands? People say they don’t like them now, but once they hold the phone in their hands, they’ll grow to love them. They’re different so that’s why they aren’t taking to them just yet. The beveled front glass and rounded backside (that’s what she said) looks like this will be a very comfortable phone to use. The roundness and thinness may help this work with one finger like they’ve always marketed.

Because it’s not real. Apple wouldn’t allow this to be activated and functioning.
That’s what I’m thinking too.
I agree it’s strange, but how do we really know what Apple’s activation protocol allows? Obviously there are many test units in the hands of Apple engineers and other testing staff and those units would be activated. The smart thing would be to only activate those few UDIDs or whatever, but we don’t know for sure if that’s what they do. After watching all the videos, I’m calling this 90% real. If it’s fake, it is the most perfect and elaborate hoax in the history of faked products, wow!

Well, after watching all the videos, I can’t really see anything to indicate it’s fake. In fact, given how everything works and how accurate all the images and graphical assets are, and the smoothness of the UI, I’m starting to believe this is real. The body is what we’ve seen leaked for months. I’m calling this 90% real now.

Yeah I wouldn’t say yes after correctly stating it’s actually a 4.7″ since there is actually a huge difference.
Here is what’s getting me. So far, we’ve only seen “finished” 4.7 models in white. No other colors and no 5.5 inch models. Doesn’t that strike anyone as odd? Everyone just so happens to get a hold of a white 4.7 inch iphone? For some reason I don’t buy it. Maybe apple has finally played us all with false leaks? Or maybe it’s a Chinese knockoff. Could it also be possible the 5.5 has a significantly different design than the 4.7? These next few hours can’t go fast enough!
