Sprint says iPhone 6 debut was its most successful iPhone launch yet

Sprint’s newly appointed CEO Marcelo Claure shared on Twitter over the weekend that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus debut marked the most successful iPhone launch in Sprint’s history.

The announcement fits right with Apple’s announcement that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus broke previous preorder sales records and today’s news that Apple sold over 10 million iPhones 6 from preorder and launch weekend sales.

Sprint’s history of iPhone launches does not include every generation of the device, though, as the iPhone 4s was the first model available at launch on the carrier following AT&T and later Verizon. Rival carrier AT&T, which has carried every iPhone model since 2007, shared earlier this month that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus launch saw more demand than either of the previous two years.

As for Sprint’s best iPhone launch ever, the carrier’s CEO Marcelo Claure mostly inherited the iPhones 6 launch after being appointed in early August when it abandoned plans to acquire rival carrier T-Mobile. Earlier this month, though, Sprint did introduce a new iPhone-focused plan dubbed ‘iPhone for Life’ with unlimited data and 2-year upgrades included.

Does anyone know if Sprints iPhone’s are technically the most world friendly LTE wise since it supports many bands and the Sprint Spark band as well?

sprint iphone dont even think of buying. they wont unlock and you are limited to sprint in USA. cant be used anywhere else. stupid policy

They will unlock for international. They did for my iPhone 5 when I visited Europe a couple of month ago and I didn’t have LTE there.
Was wondering if the iPhone 6/6+ would have ‘Global’ LTE

Sprint’s iPhones have all 20 of the FDD and TD (for Sprint Spark) LTE bands that Apple mentioned at the keynote. All GSM, CDMA, LTE, SCDMA bands are in the Sprint models. Under the tech specs, they’re models A1586 (iPhone 6) and A1524 (iPhone 6 Plus).

Why get the sprint iPhone for international use when the T-Mobile iPhone is the only one with wifi calling and free international data and texting.

Why the sprint network doesn’t work why bother?

I’d switch from my Galaxy S5 to iPhone before I’d switch to Sprint. Well, maybe.

Here in Dallas, the only place I connect (although not that fast) on band 41 is the Sprint Store. Everywhere else is band 26, and the bigger problem is the every cell tower i switch too takes 10 to 30 seconds to connect for data. Which makes using the phone useless if you are on a train or in a car. FYI; Sprint’s answer to the data connect problem problem was to turn off LTE. I have tested an android phone right next to mine and seen 32Mbits, so it seems to be just the iPhone 6’s that are having the issue.
