What Samsung’s Galaxy S6 would look like if it didn’t copy Apple

Even Samsung likes making fun of Samsung.

Unlike most of its competitors, Samsung is embracing all of the crazy rumors about its upcoming devices and having a little fun with it on its website. This is probably what Samsung’s devices would actually look like if it didn’t copy Apple.

The images above and below were posted to a webpage on Samsung’s website teasing some absurd renderings of imaginary mobile devices based on rumors floating around online for the company’s upcoming next-gen Galaxy device. This is clearly Samsung having a little fun with the rumormongers, but it’s only to hype its new flagship Galaxy S6 expected to make an appearance in the coming weeks…

Samsung is expected to unveil its latest flagship Galaxy device at Mobile World Congress early next month. A series of teasers released in recent weeks point to a new curved design for the device that should make its first appearance at Samsung’s Unpacked press event scheduled for March 1.

Head below for the rest of Samsung’s ridiculously fake S6 renders:

“Even Samsung likes making fun of Samsung.” No, they are not that stupid so you shouldn’t be either. It is part of a much larger strategy but the basis of this campaign is really sad.

The article should be entitled “What lengths Samsung will go to to be like Apple”. This is really sad. Samsung, seeing studios and artist for years create “iPhone concepts” but knowing that people would never do that for their phones, create their own in house and release them on the internet try to recreate that buzz.

  3. I can’t stop laughing at their stupidity.

It’s becoming a pastime to watch this dirigible continue to lose altitude.

  5. Haha haters like to hate, the world of mobile don’t turn around the Iphone, it’s a great phone with a sweet design but please don’t be such idiots and ridiculous to always seeing something bad in everything Samsung does because that makes me realizing that Iphone’s fans are afraid to fell in love with Samsung products and innovations so that’s why they are putting so much efforts to disrespect Samsung in every way in order to convince themselves to not buy one its devices… #Stop_Brain_Washing

Just replace Samsung with Apple in your whole comment, and it’s the same thing that we’ve seen for years….

why do you care so much whether people prefer Apple or Samsung phones?

      • i’m just stating about what i’m seeing, I want to understand why Iphone’s fans are so mean and nasty to Samsung products and innovations, just read the title of this post, then read all the comments here and you will realize that 99.8% are disrespecting Samsung and only 0.2% are writing comments interesting common by making an impartial critic

Samsung is really hyping up the GS6. It better be worth it, especially if the prices Ars Technica quoted are accurate.

Imagine if product designers were somehow prevented from ever viewing competitors products/designs? I’m not sure if competition in design is necessarily a good thing as it is in economics.

This website is utterly pitiful, and apple hasn’t innovated in years.

Let me guess… you haven’t a clue what iBeacon or HealthKit or HomeKit is?

I think the iPhone looks like a galaxy phone, not the other way around. Not to mention they have been copying a lot of functuonality that android has had for years

Samsung is like nearly all of Apple’s competitors. The design lab can crank out a thousand ideas but each functionary marketing, product, asst manager shaves a little, then the manager throws some stuff in the stew, then the VP, the senior VP and then the director … then of course the other 400 directors and product VP’s purposely sabotage their other internal groups to “win” on ther design. That’s why no one can really topple Apple – Apple is focused on solutions not booking all the conferences rooms so Phone Group B can’t get together to meet.
