Although the US will not receive their watches for a few more hours yet due to timezone discrepancies, some international customers have already taken delivery of their Apple Watch orders. For instance, some customers in Australia are now receiving their Watches, such as the one pictured above.
The image also clearly shows the packaging for the Apple Watch Sport finally. Unlike the gold Edition and stainless Watch models, the Sport is shipped in an elongated skinny rectangle with the Watch laid flat across the box.

In coordination with the device’s debut, Apple is also updating its website to promote the Watch. It now proclaims ‘The Watch is here’ after months of teasing and build up.
Earlier today, Apple also rolled out the Apple Watch App Store and User Guide in preparation for the launch. Although many customers are receiving their Watch orders tomorrow, a lot aren’t with online preorders still sold out. Apple Retail Store availability is not expected until June at the earliest.

I would have to disagree with you there. I’m pretty sure that if there were any other smart watch on the market that even had all of the same exact features as the Apple Watch the battery life would be terrible. 18 hours(a few more for the 42) is not crappy to me for all of the things it can do. It is surprisingly good for a first-gen product. To be honest, I thought it would be worse but they managed to pull it off.

I have no interest in getting one (but I’d take a free one–hey Sam Smith, you done with yours?), so I’m looking forward to the flood of upcoming tech reviews, all the cheering, bitching, and “new tech” induced drama.

I live in Australia, I ordered mine in 10 of April in the second minute, and mine still processing, not even preparing for shipment. My model is Sport Black 42mm… that sucks
If you’re like me and about 80 percent of the orders and selected the 42mm Sport Space Gray, then join the waiting room. I think Apple is filling the orders first come, first serve, it’s just that other orders, placed after yours, might ship first because the Space Gray has the most demand.
Think of it like this, you want to board a roller coaster (I assume you have those there in AU), typically, people want the first cart and most places have a separate line for that cart. So if you want to sit there, you’re going to wait longer than someone who just gets in the normal line and takes a less in demand seat. Does it still suck having to wait, sure, but at least you get the one you wanted and that should matter more.

I guess I lucked out – my 42mm space gray sport (black band) just charged and shipped today (Thursday) for delivery tomorrow. Unfortunately, I have an appointment in Orange County right in the 11am-3pm delivery window shown on the UPS site, but Apple graciously linked me to a “pre-sign” form so the UPS guy can leave it at my door. I have alerted my neighbor to collect it for me, so it won’t be sitting there unattended.
Now, will I be able to extract it from my neighbor’s grubby paws? We shall see.
Mine just arrived. 42 mm Sport Space Gray. Be patient. I got charged, got the shipping notification yesterday. Apple overnighted it, even though I had standard shipping, and I now have it. My e-mail confirmation was at 4/10 at 02:03 CT. I live in Minneapolis.
My husband sport grey was billed last min. And shipped at like 2 pm and we got it this morning
Similar situation here: My order was in by 3:08 AM EDT and no watch on 4/24. Apple’s pre-orders are getting worse every year. I don’t pre-order to be the coolest kid on the block, I pre-order because it’s the only way to get whatever new iDevice is launching without spending weeks calling Apple stores incessantly, or even worse, driving to them, only to find no one has any idea when anything will be stocked.
I can relate to Elias: Apple can’t release anything without fucking up the product launch. It’s it’s the same for every damn thing they announce. I’m sick and tired of hearing “oh goodness, we’re completely surprised by the demand for the new [insert latest iDevice here]” Whatever, I’ve been hearing the same thing since iPhone4 and I can’t help but think it’s intentional. I’ve stopp d telling people I ordered a watch. I’m tired of them asking me if it’s arrived yet!
What Apple *has* managed to do is to take all the fun out of ordering the latest Apple gizmo. It’s just not fun anymore, it’s a damn chore. The Apple Watch isn’t likely going to change my life, but I have wasted at least one good night’s sleep pre-ordering the damn thing, for nothing. I stopped checking the Apple Store too. If it arrives, great. If its not here by 5/8, I’m canceling the order and buying a new Leica with the funds I’d have spent on the watch.

Has anyone ordered the space gray sport one and have been charged already? I preordered it and got a confirmation email at 12:02, but today is the lunch date and it’s still processing. I talked to apple 3 times in the past 4 days, they said everything is fine. But shouldn’t apple charge their customers and ship it before or at least on the 24th. So if something happened during shipping the costumes will still get their watch before May 8th.
After I saw the second wave have been shipped and my first wave order is still processing, I’m so pissed~ this is the worst launch ever! Is there anything happened to all the space gray watches?

God its hard to read “APPLE WATCH HERE” Well no for most of us its not – ordered faithfully at midnight the 10th – thats when the site came back up- or did the server crash ? I mean even having got in by 3 minutes after midnight – ordered sports model 38mm, and still May 13-27th ship date! Everything I own is Apple -Macbook pro-I Pad I phone and I pod and this is the first Apple has ever let me down.
Really bummed here its spring racing and as always my Garmin will be my only sidekick.
For those who got the 24th ship date you really got lucky – as for the rest of us we will have to wait.

Its in a holding pattern and your watch is secured .. You don’t have to pay for it for Apple to have you on the shipping or Processing list .. They just need your CC info …
