Tour the Arches National Park on Apple Maps Flyover, plus 19 other locations

arches

Apple is adding 20 new Flyover locations to Apple Maps, including the Arches National Park in Utah. Flyover not only provides a great way to get a realistic view of a location, but also allows some virtual tourism of some of the bigger sights out there that you may never get the chance to visit in person.

As always with Flyover updates, it can take a little time for them to roll out to everyone. You’ll know it’s available when you search for a location and see the Flyover bar with its Start button …

The other 19 locations are:

  • Badajoz, Spain
  • Bari, Italy
  • Belfast, Northern Ireland
  • Canberra, Australia
  • Chambord, France
  • Châteauneuf-du-Pape, France
  • Chichen Itza, Mexico
  • Coimbra, Portugal
  • Culiacán, Mexico
  • Durban, South Africa
  • Huelva, Spain
  • Le Mans, France
  • Mont Saint-Michel, France
  • Montpellier, France
  • Nelson, New Zealand
  • Nimes, France
  • Paestum, Italy
  • Reims, France
  • Teotihuacán, Mexico

This brings the total number of Flyover locations to 141, Apple previously adding nine locations back in February, with Venice among them.

Well there are missing a few new cities which where added last Sunday: Munich (refrehsed) + Suburban Area (new), Kiel, Karlsruhe, Dresden as well as Strasbourg in France.

  2. Belfast is a capital city of Northern Ireland. Which is in UK, not Ireland.

Much as I love Wales, and think a flyover view of the Millennium stadium and the Senedd would be great, Vienna, Athens and Prague are the most glaring omissions in Europe, IMO
