Apple has announced that CarPlay in iOS 9 will allow users to wirelessly connect to their vehicles. The change will require compatible cars, which won’t be on the market until much later. The update will also allow auto manufacturers to create apps that let users control features of the car, such as the air conditioning, without leaving the CarPlay UI.

The question is what systems will support wireless CarPlay. I have an AppRadio 4 and I would love wireless CarPlay but I’m not hopeful I’ll be able to get it.

Apple CarPlay is optional on all new cars so if you don’t have the money for a new car you can forget it! Third party radios look bad so Pioneer and so on, is a no go.

Buying a Apple CarPlay as an option may not be a problem for americans, but for europeans especially countries that still have economic crisis its a problem. Cuz if people buy a new car they buy entry model with manual air condition and only front electric windows. :( Only minority can afford extra options and better models and it’s a luxury.
