Samsung adds a $100-200 bribe to its test-drive program aimed at converting iPhone users

Samsung Test DriveSamsung has upped the ante on its ‘ultimate test drive‘ program, intended to persuade iPhone owners to switch by offering them a free one-month trial of an Android-powered Galaxy smartphone. For those who end up purchasing the phone, Samsung will give them $100 of Google Play credit which can be used to buy apps and other content.

If you end up trading in your iPhone, Samsung will additionally send you a check for $100 – on top of whatever trade-in deal you were offered by the retailer.

Of course, switching to Android is not without its health risks

They could GIVE me their product for FREE and pay me $200 – My answer would still be “Nope – take your crap and flush it.”

Desperate (financial) times call for desperate (financial) foolishness!

Guess that’s only fair. Instead of constantly reading what a shyte experience their phones are, they now give us a chance to experience that ourselves.

Props to you Samsung, you finally outdid yourselves.

  5. Such a nice deal, Samsung is giving a chance to everyone to check the phone by it’s own, it’s kind of brave though cause by doing that its daring everyone to find out if all the crap people were saying about Samsung flagship are true or not. So i think it’s the perfect time for all iphone users who like to criticize Samsung flagship to prove their points by using the phone and showing evidence about whether those phones are really bad in quality and performance or not… just saying

Desperate times really do call for desperate measures. There are some companies who will do anything to increase product sales. Those are the type of companies Wall Street loves. Apple has an attitude of putting a decent product out there and then saying take it or leave it because they feel a good product can practically sell itself. I’m fairly certain Wall Street doesn’t like that attitude. It’s not being greedy enough. Wall Street believes companies must force sales down consumers’ throats or they’re not trying hard enough.

I want to try it just for the heck of it. The website still says there out of phones. Not sure how they’re upping the ante when us people who want to try it just for the sake of trying it cant even get it. They ought to work on that first. But I’m not surprised. I’m sure all the brain went into creating this crazy promotion, but nobody thought about the implementation process…

I took their offer, while I plan to upgrade my 5s to a 6s plus, next month, I can only just wait… I ordered the S6 Edge +, but received the reg 5″ version due to stock shortage. Since I happened to be up late, unable to sleep, I think I was very early with my order and the 5.7″ plus version was just never offered.
I would have never given an android device, any android, more than a 30 second review while waiting inline somewhere, yet now have 28 days remaining per the phone, to do just that. I always wanted to be able to provide an educated response. When discussing my preferences, I prefer them backed-up with my own first hand experience and this provides me that educated basis. So far, it does feel a bit foreign, where I have to figure out how to accomplish everyday tasks over my normal intuitive nature with my Iphone. Not really in a bad way, just different, as it was expected to be. I do like the AMOLED screen, the blacks do stand out, where blacks appear almost grayish on my 5s. I think the Iphone 7 having one will be a nice upgrade. I didn’t realize I would appreciate this as much. I didn’t notice this contrast, when I tested an Apple watch at the store. As others have said the S6 Edge feels better in the hand upside-down. The sides are very thin, almost sharp and get very hot near the right-hand side power button, while it rests into the first crease in your pointer fingers’ joint. This became noticeable in a short time, while uploading my contacts and other settings. I wish I had a thermal camera to take a picture and state the exact temperature, vs “feels” but this too has been mentioned by others. So far this test has proven to me that I still want the larger Iphone 6S plus over the 4.7″, and cant wait to have it in hand to further compare side-by-side!
