Apple has released a public beta version of the upcoming OS X 10.11.1 update. The OS was first seeded to developers last week and includes a variety of new emoji icons, such as an eye roll and a taco. The popular middle finger emoji is also included.

Users who are part of Apple’s beta program can download the update now from the Mac App Store’s updates tab. New users can register for the program on Apple’s website. The change notes specify that the update also includes stability fixes and addresses bugs.

i sure hope so. had lots of problems with that GM. 9.1 is way better than 9.0 GM so im hoping that’s the case here too

Seriously? A new build where the only relevant feature is…emoji? Are you kidding?
what remains for the non non-childish users?

Seriously the change-log is “improved stability, compatibility and security”? looks like saying “hey, new build, new stuff”
OS X users deserve a more professional consideration from the company and more comprehensive “change-logs” at least.

    • 10.11.1 is more on FIXES. As well as SUPPORT for UNICODE’s new emojis. It’s X.X.1. Jeeeeeezz

Wi-Fi bugs have suddenly appeared in the GM release of El Capitan 10.11. If you are excited about installing the latest OS when it releases, please wait for a while before you can install it.

I think you need to have either one of the developer releases or the GM Candidate of 10.11 installed. Have you?
