Google today announced that it’s bringing its Google Keep note taking app to iPhone and iPad for the first time after originally releasing only for web and Android users a couple years back.
The journal-like app allows users to save notes, photos and other content and integrates reminders, to-do lists, and voice input features. Notes are customizable with colors and labels and can be shared with others for real-time collaboration, while reminders can be set by time or location. Users can also search for notes using filters for content type, color and more.
The app keeps notes in sync across platforms including an Android app and versions for Chrome and the web that support Mac and Windows users.
The Google Keep app is available for iOS starting today for both iPhone and iPad.

This would be a good app IF it had pdf export. The export function is a joke and makes this app useless for me in business or personal use. I’m hoping they’ll support and improve it because it really does have potential.
Too late, after iOS 9 the iPhones built in Notes app is already good enough for me.

Same here. I used to use Microsoft OneNote for years, because Apple’s notes solution sucked, but the new Notes is already good enough, so I migrated my notes over to it. OneNote is a wonderful, full-featured product, but I never used any of the advanced features that are not in the current Notes iteration, so I don’t look back. This effort by Google is too little, too late. Plus you never know when they will axe it, so Google does with many of their products.

This app is horrible. I used it when I had an android phone and with each revision, google would move around the ui buttons so you had to re-learn how to use it.
i feel sorry for the people that consider iOS built in Notes app any good. Its laughable at best. Google Keep is right up there with OneNote as being the most useful app for notes. I keep oneNote for business stuff and Google Keep for personal notes or quick on-the-go stuff, and its been phenomenal so far. Love the color coding and pullet points of it – great for making those grocery lists. Finally they brought it to iOS, couldn’t be happier!
Just dowloaded it test it out. Needs improvement but want to try Notes on iPhone and the new Mac OS version of Notes when it comes out. Until then I’ll be sitting on the fence.
