Funding data published by the Federal Elections Commission reveals that the largest donors to Bernie Sanders’ election campaign PACs were employees of tech companies. Employees of Google parent company Alphabet donated the most, at a little over a quarter of a million dollars, while Apple employees collectively donated $85k.
Microsoft, Amazon, AT&T and Intel also appeared high in the list.
Under federal law, all Political Action Committees receiving individual contributions of more than $200 must ask the donor’s occupation and employer. Donors are not obliged to answer, but if they do, the information must be disclosed. The law is primarily intended to identify cases of companies making contributions disguised as individual donations, a concern that clearly doesn’t apply to the relatively small totals seen here.

I guess they will be taking my Apple products away from me and redistributing them to someone “less fortunate”. It doesn’t matter that I worked like a dog to obtain my Apple products. It isn’t fair that I have them.
Don’t flatter yourself, you’re not apart of the 1%…not even close. You’re not who he wasn’t so to take from.
That’s actually pretty surprising, given that Sanders is going to demand more from big corporations and actually singled Apple out on the issue. I like this news though. And I’m curious to see how much Apple employees gave to the Clinton campaign.
Notice how LOW the top numbers are in aggregate, compared to the numbers bandied about by the SuperPACs. So tech companies (where many many empolyees are paid well and have disposable income) are in the top of that list – normally you’d see Wall St. and Big Pharma there, but it looks like Sanders doesn’t have their “vote”.
I’d say that’s a mark of distinction for Sanders.
