Snapchat adds ‘Deluxe’ Bitmoji as Instagram introduces scheduled posts

Snapchat has unveiled new enhancements to its Bitmoji feature that will offer way more customizations than ever before. For business users, Instagram is also releasing new features with the ability to schedule posts.

Snapchat calls its new feature Bitmoji Deluxe and says the new version offers hundreds of customizations.

You’ll find additional skin tones, hairstyles, hair colors, facial features, accessories and more! To make selecting your physical attributes easier — like picking the eyebrows and nose that look most like yours — we’ll now preview all of those options directly on your Bitmoji. We’ve also made it easy to snap a quick selfie to inspire your Bitmoji creation.

Snapchat’s new Bitmoji Deluxe features are available in the Bitmoji app, by heading to Settings > Change Avatar Style.

Meanwhile, Instagram has added the ability to schedule posts using its Graph API in services like Hootsuite and Facebook Marketing Partner. The new API is also picking up the ability to easily see posts tagging the user as well as the option to find other business profiles.

The move comes as Instagram continues to develop its Graph API for business users with plans to fully sunset its original Instagram API in 2020.

Instagram is committed to providing our developer community with the best tools to support businesses on the platform and will continue to add new features to the Instagram Graph API. To give developers time to migrate to the Instagram Graph API, we will begin ending support for the Instagram API Platform by early 2020.
