How to use Apple Watch and iPhone World Clock to keep time zones straight

Whether you need to keep track of time zones for work or pleasure, follow along for how to make use of the Apple Watch and iPhone World clock.

Keeping track of time zones is easy with Apple Watch and iPhone. Especially if you make use of an Apple Watch complication to be able to keep track of them with a glance. We’ll start with iPhone then look at setting up different cities on Apple Watch.

Use Apple Watch and iPhone World Clock to keep time zones straight

iPhone

  1. Open the Clock app and tap on World Clock in the bottom left corner
  2. Tap the + icon in the top right corner to add a new city
  3. Use search or select a city from the list

Here’s how the process looks:

New cities will be automatically added to the bottom of your list. To organize them, tap Edit in the top left corner.

Any cities you’ve added on iPhone will automatically sync and show up on Apple Watch. Many will find it most convenient to use using Apple Watch for checking timezones. You can also add new cities via Apple Watch.

Apple Watch

  1. Open World Clock (tap the orange globe or ask Siri)
  2. Tap Today in the top left corner
  3. Swipe to the bottom of the list and tap Add City

Notably, Apple Watch offers two different ways to view your saved time zones, with the graphical view including sunrise and sunset data. Don’t forget to add the World Clock as a complication of your favorite watch faces for easy access.
