How to customize hardware keyboard settings on iPad

With Apple’s Smart Keyboards or any other third-party keyboards capable of connecting to an iPad, Apple has a set of options that allow you to customize the hardware keyboard, regardless of which keyboard you decide to go with. How to customize hardware keyboard settings on iPad

  1. Open up Settings > General > Keyboard.
  2. Tap on Hardware Keyboard.
  3. You’ll now be presented with three options: Auto-Capitalization, Auto-Correction, and “.” shortcut.

While there aren’t many options to choose from, the three come in handy. Especially, the caps lock one as you can’t disable shift/caps lock at the beginning of a sentence. For example, it’s impossible to type “iOS” at the beginning of a sentence.
