No matter if the 2018 iPad Pro is your first iOS device without a Home button or not, follow along for how to take screenshots on the iPad Pro.

Whoosh! Screen Cleaner

Along with all the changes that the new 2018 models bring, the process to take screenshots on the iPad Pro has changed with the full-screen design and removal of the Home button.

We’ll look first at how screenshots work on the 2018 iPad Pro and then also detail the process for all other iPads.

How to take screenshots on the iPad Pro

On the 2018 iPad Pro:

  1. Press the Top button and volume up button at the same time
  2. Tap the screenshot preview in the bottom left corner to make edits and markup, or long-press on it to share it right away
  3. You can find your screenshot in the Photos app

On all other iPads:

  1. Press the Top button (previously called sleep/wake button) and the Home button at the same time
  2. Tap the screenshot preview to make edits and markup, or long-press for quick share options
  3. You can find your screenshot in the Photos app

If you accidentally take a screenshot, or would like to delete one immediately for another reason, tap the preview in the bottom left corner, tap Done in the top left corner, then choose Delete Screenshot.
