This is what you get when you offer $1500 to design an Apple Car

We might not know exactly how much Jony Ive takes home, but it’s probably a little more than $1500. So we probably shouldn’t be surprised that when you offer a bunch of amateurs a shot at winning a $1500 prize for their own Apple Car design, you’re likely to get what you pay for.

There are one or two vaguely interesting ones, like the example above, but the majority of the entries are either generic copies of existing designs, totally crazy or rough sketches that look like someone’s kid drew them. Check out a few examples below, and see the complete set over at Freelancer.

Apple’s not in the habit of smearing their logo all over everything. A lot of these concepts don’t seem to understand that. Also, I think they’re done with the i-Prefix. It would just be “Apple Car” or Car, or *maybe* AutoPod.

    • Not in the habit of smearing their logo over everything?

Do you own an Apple product?

I own a fair few Apple products & each of them only has one physical Apple logo upon it. Like loft said, they aren’t in the habit.
