9to5Mac reader Daniel tipped us to a hidden CarPlay trick that reveals what was clearly the planned interface for Beats Music. While the app name reads Rdio, the menu titles and (non matching) icons are from the Beats Music iPhone app.

Beats Music has long been listened on Apple’s CarPlay website as an available app, although it’s never actually displayed its own interface as promised. You have to start audio from the iPhone and only have access to the Now Playing screen for controlling playback. Presumably the streaming service will make it’s way into the updated iOS 8.4 version that we’ve reported as its actual CarPlay debut.

For now, you can see the interface that could have been by playing a song in Beats Music on the iPhone, connecting it to CarPlay, then launching another app like Rdio assuming it’s not already open before you start.
