2024 DIGITAL MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES

9to5Mac/9to5Toys/9to5Google/Electrek/DroneDJ

Launched officially in 2015, the 9to5 Partner Program works with select brands to plan and execute unique advertising campaigns across our five media brands: 9to5Mac, 9to5Google, 9to5Toys, Electrek.co, and DroneDJ.

As an example of these unique campaigns, last year we worked with brands to:

9TO5MAC AT A GLANCE

9to5Mac.com

The 9to5 network is home to six media brands including 9to5Mac.com, 9to5Toys.com, 9to5Google.com, Electrek.co, DroneDJ.com, ConnectTheWatts.com, and SpaceExplored.com. Collectively, the network generates 75M+ impressions each month. The 9to5 Network also includes six podcasts and 7 YouTube channels.

NATIVE CONTENT

In contrast to typical sponsored articles and videos, every Partner campaign is created by our team specifically for each brand, budget, and promo. This allows us to identify unique and highly targeted editorial integrations and sponsorship opportunities that provide value to readers while simultaneously building trust for your brand among our audience of dedicated tech, EV, and renewable energy enthusiasts.

Partner Posts on our sites can include in-depth product review-style content or be used to amplify a news release, facilitate giveaway entries or sign-ups, or promote a discount or promotion with coverage across our network including on our 9to5Toys shopping site.

From $10K USD

Available to select brands and products only, dedicated Partner Videos are full-length sponsored videos produced and presented by our video team. Partner Videos resemble editorial videos and present your brand and product in an in-depth, hands-on manner by our regular YouTube hosts. They can optionally be embedded in Partner Posts as an added visual.

In the examples above and below, we did exactly that with a hands-on, video walkthrough for the NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW, and for Hyper’s Triple 4K Display Dock for MacBook Pro (below):

In addition to full-length dedicated Partner Videos, Partner Video Integrations were among our most successful campaigns, allowing brands to target related content and integrate natively into our most popular videos of the year. These integrations included 30 second+ intro, mid-roll, and outro spots presented by our YouTube host organically in the same style as the editorial video. Partner Videos appear on our YouTube channels and in accompanying content on our sites and social.

EDITORIAL INTEGRATIONS

For select brands, the Partner Program includes custom editorial integrations, allowing us to identify editorial opportunities to integrate your brand and promo on content with a highly targeted audience.

For Enel X, we integrated the company’s JuiceBox EV charger brand into our buyer’s and lease guides, positioning it front of an engaged and highly targeted audience of prospective electric vehicle buyers at exactly the right time.

Tutorial content, events, reviews, and other special content from our editorial team offer many opportunities for integrations across our coverage of high-profile device and OS releases from Apple, Google and others. Have your brand featured next to a tailored content series for the latest iPhone releases, or next to our extensive tutorial content for the latest iOS and macOS releases.

NATIVE BANNERS

Native Banners allow you to feature your brand and promo within our editorial content with a 750×150 native image embedded indefinitely into article bodies. Unlike traditional display ads, the native banner remains in the articles it’s placed where it can continue receiving traffic for weeks, months, and even years following the campaign. The Native Banner is also inserted in our email newsletter the day(s) it’s scheduled to run.

From $5K/week USD

PODCASTS & EVENT SPONSORSHIPS

Throughout the year we took on sponsors for our coverage of the year’s biggest events including CES, IFA, and Apple product announcement events. We also offer year-round integration opportunities for our stable of regular podcasts including 9to5Mac’s Happy Hour, The Daily Podcast, and our podcast dedicated to Apple products in the enterprise, Apple @ Work.

In addition to event sponsorships, we integrate brands into our Black Friday, Prime Day, and December Gift Guide editorial content. These campaigns included exclusive placement as featured deals included in our roundups of the best deals and gifts for the holiday shopping seasons.

From $4K USD

GIVEAWAY CAMPAIGNS

9to5Mac also runs co-branded giveaway campaigns for all of Apple’s major new product launches including the latest iPhone, Mac, iPad, and Apple Watch releases, as well as Samsung smartphones and other high-profile product releases. These were among our most successful campaigns, allowing partners to co-brand with our sites to give away the year’s most anticipated new products while collecting tens of thousands of email entries for future marketing and advertising alongside products from Apple, Samsung, Tesla, and others.

Partner Program giveaways included 4-6 week campaigns with multiple posts, video, and integrations dedicated to the advertiser’s product or promo. They additionally included the cost of the giveaway item and winner fulfillment. On average, giveaways last year collected 20K-30K+ email entries for Partner brands by requiring an email and newsletter sign-up for entry. Giveaways optionally required social engagement for the advertiser’s channels. Campaigns generated an average of 10-15K+ clicks to an advertiser’s product pages and 2M+ impressions.
