Reported yellow iPhone 4 blemishes may disappear after normal use — claim

Truth be told, we’ve been rocking the iOS 4 GM since last week so we can’t confirm this locally. However, lots of people are saying that Gamecenter didn’t make the iOS 4 cut. Apple said Gamecenter was due in “Fall” and didn’t mention it at WWDC so it isn’t surprising to see it missing.
Because of this, the iOS download sizes have changed even though Apple says the OS is the same build. It will be interesting to see if Gamecenter makes the initial iPhone 4 build or if it is released all products at a later time.
That means we’re keeping our Gamecenter versions of the iPhone 4 GM for now. Contact your friendly neighborhood developer for yours.
Remember that old Flash war between Apple and Adobe? It continues, with Adobe slamming Apple for failing to include the most recent version of Flash inside the latest Snow Leopard security update.
“10.6.4 update for Mac OS X includes Flash Player, but not the latest version,” said Brad Arkin, Adobe’s director of security and privacy, in a message on Twitter. Now, we know this follows Apple CEO Steve Jobs and his accusations that everybody

Everyone’s favorite web plugin just got a significant upgrade to version 10.1. If you haven’t been beta testing it, you’ll find that it DOES NOT support the H.264 hardware acceleration that was originally revealed in their Gala release (update here). But, it has to be more stable than the version you are currently using, right?
We usually dismiss security warnings from anti-virus companies because they are just plays to get Mac users to buy their software. This latest one from Intego might, however, be of concern to a few of you out there.
Description: Intego has discovered a spyware application that is installed by a number of freely distributed Mac applications and screen savers found on a variety of websites. This spyware, OSX/OpinionSpy, performs a number of malicious actions, from scanning files to recording user activity, as well as sending information about this activity to remote servers and opening a backdoor on infected Macs. OSX/OpinionSpy is installed by a number of applications and screen savers that are distributed on sites such as MacUpdate, VersionTracker and Softpedia. The spyware itself is not contained in these applications, but is downloaded during the installation process.
Intego sells its Mac anit-virus software for $50 or there are many free anti-Virus software apps available like ClamAV.
The information provided with some of these applications contains a misleading text that users must accept explaining that a

Scant days since introduction and those screwdriver-toting tech-types over at iFixit have already torn apart a new model MacBook.
They picked one up at the Apple Store yesterday, and took it to pieces overnight to soothe our curiosity.
They have some interesting observations on the battery:
Adobe appears willing to take a little of Apple CEO Steve Jobs
Apple is seeding developers with access to an all-new build of Mac OS X 10.6.4.
Build 10F50 includes numerous fixes and just one known issue, reports World Of Apple. It weighs in at 581.3MB in its delta form, reports World of Apple. Mac OS X 10.6.4 entered testing towards the end of last month. Speculation (and WWDC) suggests a June launch for the new OS iteration.

Focus Areas:
TechCrunch notes that Apple has applied for the trademark ‘iTunes Live’ with the above image representing the trademark. The service would comprise the following areas, according to the application:
– Online retail store services in the field of entertainment featuring prerecorded musical, audio and audiovisual content
– Entertainment services, namely, arranging and conducting of concerts and live musical performances
Apple most likely owns iTunesLive.com as well (Mark Monitor is Apple’s 3rd party registrar of choice), so there could very easily be a Cloud component to this as well.
The moniker can already be seen on a few iTunes releases including the iTunes Live in Soho, below.

This is kinda weird. It looks like an iPad can simulate a sleep on a MacBook Pro somehow, probably with the speaker magnets.

Apple is seeding the latest Snow Leopard build, Mac OS 10.6.4, build number 10F37.
iPhoneCanada informs us the current build – available only to developers known to Apple – focuses on Graphics Drivers, SMB, Time Machine backups, USB, and VoiceOver. The build does not include any further updates or enhancements.
One known issue is the requirement that a password be given when launching iChat.
The release follows the March introduction of Mac OS 10.6.3. The new build is the fourth main revision to the OS.
