Surprising some, Apple released its 4th generation iPad this October just a half year after the previous model was released starting in March. With only the new Lightning adapter and speed demon A6X processor, the 4th generation hardware is mostly the same as its two recent predecessors making most cases and accessories compatible (save for 30-pin adapters which must now be changed to 9-pin adapters).
