It might seem a bit crazy to pair fine wood with aluminum for an iPhone 6 accessory, but that’s definitely not true in this case. Vessel’s Wood Series for iPhone 6 is a very interesting approach to a bumper, or case if you’d like to call it that. I’m usually a case-less kind of guy, but there’s something about the Wood Series that seems to be a happy medium…
This little guy may not serve as the greatest protection against the world, but it keeps your iPhone partially covered and slim, while bringing some other elements to the table. The Wood Series combines a top and bottom bumper made from solid aluminum and sides crafted from oak or walnut that are finished in brushed oil. Sure, we’ve seen many “high-end” bumpers out there, but this one definitely stands out in my opinion.
Inside of the box, you’ll find the Wood Series bumper of course, along with a small tool for installation that can easily be attached to a key ring for removal on-the-go. We also have a very unique serial number certificate plate (see video), a quick start guide, two extra screws, and a Vesel-branded microfiber cloth.

As you would expect, the case is rather simple to install. First, you’ll need to use the included tool to unscrew the top two corners of the case. After that, simply slide in the iPhone 6 and put the bumper back together.
This case is definitely designed for the minimalist. If you were a fan of the 0.3mm Caudabe case we showed off a while back, chances are you’ll love this one. It’s definitely not for everyone, but such a combination of materials can certainly be appreciated by most people.
I haven’t used the Wood Series long enough to tell you how it holds up over time, but over the past couple of weeks it has been very solid. Vesel’s Wood Series for iPhone 6 is available in four different combinations which are all variations of the Frozen Titanium Gray and Frozen Brilliant Silver top aluminum colors and either walnut or oak wood for the sides.
Vesel’s Wood Series can be a bit pricey coming in around $193, but its pricing is similar to competitor cases from Draco and Element Case so it wasn’t much of a surprise for myself. Check the video linked here for a promo code if you’d like to pick one up. To find out more about Vesel’s full lineup of cases or for pricing and availability, check out the company’s website.

It’s like a station wagon.
I don’t agree with the assessment, but still it left me rolling and laughing… Studebaker would be proud
The correct term, despite the fact few people realize, is ‘happy-median’, not ‘happy-medium…’
Actually: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/happy%20medium?s=t
Takin’ Arnold to schoooool!
Arnold, check out “Muphry’s Law.” Misspelling intentional. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muphry%27s_law
Sorry, Arnold… back to Green Acres for you. Medium is a noun, median is an adjective. Happy, another adjective describes – or quantifies – the noun. If you were to use median, you would need its associated noun (normally “point”). Otherwise it would be two adjectives in a row, lacking a noun. The “pink-red” means nothing… the “pink red pig” is ok.
The bigger issue is the number of times the reviewer says things like “pretty unique” & “very unique”. There are no degrees of uniqueness. It’s like being pregnant… you are or you are not. Unique means singular – one of a kind. There are no quantifiers for singularity. Something can be VERY different, PRETTY unusual… but you cannot be any more unique than unique.
Ok, ok. I get it. I’m just a stupid, but very unique, pig.
The phrase is used both ways… as it’s just a phrase, you can use it how you want.
Median is also a noun as well as an adjective.
Methinks you’ve got this the wrong way ’round: http://grammarist.com/eggcorns/happy-median-or-happy-medium/
Incorrect.

Ouch, well pasted Dom, well pasted.
Hmm. Well, my bad (not!) – another phrase I detest. FWIW, I was taught to use ‘median’, and I still prefer its sound over ‘happy medium’.
€159 are u kidding men? I will never pay more than $10 for this
I rather spend $20 on HD crystal clear transparent cases on Amazon and EBAY

it s a copy of ronin of Element case ….please!
It’s really a great wood bumper.
I just received 2 luxury wood cases for my, and my wife’s, iPhone 6’s – Frozen Brilliant Silver for a Gold iPhone 6 and a Frozen Titanium Gray for a White iPhone 6 (see image attached). The cases came very well packaged and includes the tool for installation. Just a note. If you use a charging dock/stand, like the Belkin FBJ045 I use, or a third party Lightning cable, those accessories will not seat properly in the opening an the bottom of the Vesel case making them useless. Either the dock’s male connector is not long enough to make contact inside the iPhone, or, in the case of the third party cable, too wide to fit in the opening. Only the Apple Lightning cable fits perfectly so be aware. Also, the wood is real so the color will not be as rich looking as in the photos when you get it until the oils in your hand deepens its tone. Other than those two points, these cases are unique in style, made well and very attractive.
