Beta 3 for iPadOS 26.2, tvOS 26.2, and more now available

Apple has just released its latest wave of beta software, with developer beta 3 arriving for iPadOS 26.2, tvOS 26.2, and more.

New features in Apple’s 26.2 updates so far

Apple has said that iOS 26.2 and its companion updates will release in just a few weeks, and today the latest beta versions debuted.

Beta 3 is rolling out for iPadOS 26.2, tvOS 26.2, watchOS 26.2, and more.

So far in the beta process, we’ve seen new features arrive for nearly every platform.

iPadOS 26.2, by nature of being so closely tied to iOS’s updates, has been among the biggest beneficiaries so far. New features include a great Reminders alarm option, automatic AI-generated chapters for Apple Podcasts, offline lyrics in Apple Music, and more.

watchOS 26.2 includes updates to Sleep Score, which has a revised grading system.

tvOS 26.2 brings two additions: you can create user profiles without an Apple Account, and there’s a special kids mode in the TV app.

Today’s beta 3 releases could offer even more changes across Apple’s platforms, and we’ll keep you posted on any discoveries we make.

After this beta, Apple will likely start shifting its focus to prioritizing bug fixes and performance improvements.

Larger releases such as iOS 26.0 go through lengthy beta cycles, but for an update like 26.2, it’s typical to have around four betas before the RC. That means user-facing new features will probably be minimal in future releases.
